Yay!!!
We are half way there!
Over $400K raised towards our first project of purchasing The Old Woolstore.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the generous individuals, families and businesses who have so far supported the vision of the Kingston Community Foundation. Their contributions will help us strengthen health, education, and heritage, creating a legacy that will benefit our community for generations.
The Kingston Community Foundation was established on the 13th June 2024 and endorsed with Deductible Gift Recipient status on the 29th January 2025 by the Australian Tax Office.
The purpose of the Foundation is to establish, for Kingston SE, a community managed capital fund, the earnings to be distributed annually to the nominated beneficiaries. This will save many hours in voluntary fund raising to look after the key Kingston community organisations into the future.
The nominated beneficiaries are -
- Kingston Soldiers Memorial Hospital.
- Kingston Community School Building Fund.
- Kingston SE Branch of the National Trust.
The first project is for the Foundation to acquire the Old Kingston Wool Store and to lease the property which will provide an income stream to benefit the beneficiaries for many years.
